A Digital striking is to put barriers to entry and create that consistency. Social media provides the time and the place for everyone to strike, regardless of where you’re from.

The Government of India has banned Chinese popular mobile apps citing the security threat and petitioned its power under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act and relevant provisions under IT Rules 2009 to block these apps, the ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said on 29th June 2020.

The move of banning this was not come as a surprise as it comes in the backdrop of stand-off along with the Line of Actual control in Ladakh with Chinese troops. The decision was taken in the wake of unprecedented spike in tensions along the 3,488-kilometre-long LAC with China, following the Galwan Valley clash in which 20 Indian soldiers were killed in action. An unspecified number of Chinese troops were also killed in the clash that took place along the LAC on the intervening night of June 15,16.

Indian Army and China’s PLA troops have been engaged in an eyeball-to-eyeball situation at several locations along the LAC for nearly two months now. The Indian Army undertaken deployment of additional troops at Galwan Valley, Pangong Tso, Gogra-Hot Springs, Depsang and several other locations in eastern Ladakh.
